WHO WE ARE
Every Child Deserves More Than Survival.
Klatan Total Orphans Centre works to protect, educate and equip orphaned and vulnerable children while strengthening the caregivers and communities around them.
Our approach connects immediate care with education, mentorship, practical skills and opportunities that can help children move toward confident, self-reliant adulthood.
The goal is not simply to respond to vulnerability today, but to help create stronger pathways for tomorrow.

“I met children collecting HIV medication for parents who were dying. When those parents passed on, the children had no one. I could not walk away.”
MEET OUR FOUNDER
One Encounter Became a Lifelong Mission.
Jacob Lolem’s journey began in 2011–2012 while volunteering at Kacheliba Sub-County Hospital.
During this period, he witnessed children collecting HIV medication for seriously ill parents. After some of the patients passed away, many children were left vulnerable, neglected, abused or without adequate care.
Moved to act, Jacob personally became a caregiver to seven orphaned children. In 2014, he formalized his commitment by registering a Community Based Organization.
In 2016, he encountered 55 street-connected children living in shacks without adequate food or shelter. With support from well-wishers, he responded by providing rehabilitation, shelter and pathways to education. Approximately 200 orphaned and vulnerable children have been supported to date.
